The free Downtown Clayton Summer Concert Series is held in partnership with the Downtown Development Association and usually draws more than 1,000 people to Town Square - at the corner of Main and O'Neil St.

Square to Square Street Festival

Join us on May 20, 2023 on Main Street from Town Square to Horne Square for games, activities, contests, and so much more for the annual street festival.

Clayton Farm and Community Market

This open-air market happens every Saturday, from 9 am to 1 pm with local farmers and vendors bringing their fresh, locally grown, and made veggies, fruits, meats, honey, homemade soaps, and much more. It's located at Horne Square, 348 E Main Street, on the corner of Main and South Lombard streets.

Easter Egg Hunt

Join Clayton Parks and Recreation as well as the Easter Bunny at Clayton High School on April 1, 2023 for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt! Over 10,000 eggs will be placed on the main football field. We highly suggest arriving early to allow time for parking. In years past, 10,000+ eggs have been picked up in under 7 minutes! We'd hate for you to miss out on the fun!

Halloween Trick or Treat

This holiday tradition allows costumed children and their parents to take over Downtown Clayton. Kids get to march down Main Street where they are greeted by local business owners who are waiting to hand them goodies and treats on the sidewalks.

Organized by the Clayton Chamber of Commerce, this is by far, the biggest event in the Town of Clayton drawing an estimated 20,000+ people from all over the state to downtown for 5 days of music, vendors, food, rides, performances and so much more for the entire family.

Christmas Village and Tree Lighting

Every year, more than 5,000 people head to Main Street on the first Thursday after Thanksgiving for the festive and popular "Christmas Village and Tree Lighting." We usually close Main Street for 2-1/2 hours of music, holiday cheer, a business open house, and, of course, the traditional tree lighting at Town Square.

Christmas Parade 

There's just something about a small-town Christmas Parade! Sponsored and organized by the Clayton Rotary. the event features more than 100 colorful floats, booming marching bands, and of course, Santa Claus! Join us along Main Street on the second Saturday in December at 3 pm to grab a front-row seat anywhere from Smith Street to Robertson Street.

Juneteenth Celebration

New this year is a Juneteenth celebration planned for Saturday, June 17, 2023. This evening event will include stories and music on the stage at The Clayton Center. 



Veterans Day Ceremony & Operation Greenlight

This November, Clayton will join our colleagues across the nation in #OperationGreenLight for Veterans, an initiative designed to shine a light on the service of our veterans and their families.

We will announce dates and information regarding the Veterans Ceremony later this year. We encourage our local veterans to come out and join us in this ceremony.

Independence Day Fire Works

This year, we are bringing back the Independence Day fireworks celebration, a long-standing community favorite. The 2023 fireworks show will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Clayton High School. The event will include inflatables, food trucks, music, and more.
