Support Your Library
There are so many great ways to be able to support your library. From volunteering to donating, we can always use your help!
Friends of the Library, Inc.
Friends of the Library, Inc. was organized in 1976 to seek funds for a stand-alone library facility for Clayton. Local government, businesses, industry and individuals teamed up to realize the dream of a new library in our Town. Today, the organization continues its goal of providing the full development of library services for the Clayton community.
You can be a part of fulfilling the library's needs by joining the Friends of the Library organization. If you'd like to become a Friend, please stop by and fill out a membership form. It's only $10 per person, or $25 for the whole family to join.
The Friends of the Library holds general meetings at 4 pm on the 4th Thursday of January, July and October. All meetings are held at the library in the Sybil Champion Meeting Room, and they are open to the public.
Each year, the organization holds two book sales to raise funds and to support Hocutt-Ellington Memorial Library. Donations of books are tax deductible, and they may be dropped off year-round at the library. Check out our News and Events page for the Fall and Spring Book Sale dates and for the Friends of the Library book donation guidelines!
